Secure Google Sign-In for Memiserve and Customer Systems

Memiserve is a secure authentication and systems-integration application provided by Memiserve. It enables authorised users to sign in with their existing Google Account to Memiserve applications and business systems developed, integrated, hosted, or managed for our customers.

The purpose of Google Sign-In is to verify a user’s identity securely and connect that identity to the correct account within an authorised system.

What Memiserve Does

After Google verifies your identity, Memiserve or the connected customer system matches your Google identity with an authorised user account and applies the permissions assigned by the responsible organisation.

Depending on the system you are authorised to use, you may be able to:

  • Access business and operational dashboards
  • View authorised service or project information
  • Submit and manage technical support requests
  • Access internal workflows and business tools
  • Use other features provided by the organisation operating the system

Signing in with Google does not automatically grant access. You must already be authorised by Memiserve or by the organisation responsible for the connected system.

Why We Use Google Sign-In

Google Sign-In provides a secure and convenient way to authenticate users without requiring them to create or manage another password.

Google verifies your identity directly. Memiserve and its customers never receive or have access to your Google password.

Google Information We Request

When you choose “Continue with Google”, Google may provide the following basic identity information:

  • A unique Google account identifier
  • Your primary email address and email-verification status
  • Your full name
  • Your profile picture, if included in the authorised profile information

Memiserve uses the openid, email, and profile OAuth scopes to receive basic identity information. Where required, the application may also request authentication-strength claims to protect connected systems.

Where enabled, Google may also provide information about the authentication methods used to sign in (amr) and the time at which authentication occurred (auth_time). Memiserve uses this information only to determine whether a sign-in meets the security requirements of the connected system and whether additional verification is required.

How We Use Your Google Information

We use your Google information only to:

  • Confirm your identity
  • Match you with the correct authorised account
  • Grant access to the appropriate Memiserve or customer system
  • Personalise your account interface
  • Protect connected systems against unauthorised access

Google identity information is not used for advertising, unrelated marketing, credit decisions, or training general-purpose artificial intelligence models.

Information We Do Not Request

Memiserve does not request access to your:

  • Gmail messages
  • Google Drive files
  • Google Calendar
  • Google Contacts
  • Google Photos
  • Google password

Google Sign-In does not allow Memiserve or its customers to read private Google content or perform actions within your Google Account.

Customer Systems and Authentication

Memiserve provides secure Google authentication integrations for our internal applications and dedicated customer portals developed or managed by Memiserve.

When you sign in to an authorised customer system, your basic Google identity information is processed strictly to authenticate your identity, manage your user session, and grant access to that specific system’s features.

For a customer system, the organisation responsible for that system may receive or retain this basic identity information where necessary to manage your authorised account, provide the system’s features, maintain security, or meet applicable contractual or legal requirements. Memiserve does not sell, rent, or disclose your Google user data for unrelated advertising or marketing purposes.

Data Storage and Retention

Basic identity information may be retained within the relevant Memiserve or customer account record for as long as the account remains active or as required for security, contractual, and legal purposes.

Authentication information is processed only to validate your identity and establish an authorised session. It is not used to access unrelated Google services.

Your Control

You may revoke Memiserve’s Google Account access through your Google Account settings. Revoking access may prevent you from using Google Sign-In with connected Memiserve or customer systems.

You may also contact Memiserve to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account, subject to applicable legal and contractual requirements.

Privacy and Contact

Read the Memiserve Privacy Policy to understand how we access, use, store, protect, retain, and share personal information.
